At Design Organize Gather Co., we believe that a house becomes a home when it reflects the personalities and needs of its inhabitants. Our recent collaboration with a busy family exemplifies this philosophy. Having moved into a new build, the family sought to infuse their space with warmth, functionality, and personal touches that truly made it their own.
A Journey of Transformation
The project commenced while the family was away on vacation, allowing us to begin with the organization of the mudroom and pantry. This initial step set the tone for a comprehensive transformation that spanned multiple rooms, each tailored to the family’s lifestyle and preferences.
A Haven for a 10-Year Old Boy
For the 10-year-old boy, we crafted a space that balances creativity and organization. A split-painted wall adds visual interest, while new bedding and a basketball bean bag chair cater to his interests. Recognizing his admiration for Bob Ross, we incorporated artwork that inspires and personalizes his room. Closet organization ensures that his belongings are neatly stored, promoting a tidy environment conducive to both play and relaxation.
Teenage Girl's Room: A Personal Retreat
The teenage girl’s room received a stylish makeover with a painted accent wall, new bed, and storage solutions that cater to her needs. A new desk and vanity area provide dedicated spaces for study and self-care, while thoughtful organization ensures that her room remains a functional retreat full of her favorite things.

Primary Suite: Elegance Meets Functionality
In the primary bedroom, we introduced wallpaper and custom cabinetry, including a bespoke green chair that adds a pop of color and comfort. The bathroom features an accent wallpapered wall, new mirror, and light fixture, creating a spa-like atmosphere. Organizing the vanity and closet enhances functionality, ensuring that daily routines are streamlined and enjoyable.
Home Office: The Family Command Center
Understanding the importance of a well-organized workspace, we transformed the home office into a family command center. A bulletin wall with wall pockets for each family member, a central calendar, and a bulletin board fosters communication and organization, making it easier to manage daily activities and schedules
Laundry Room: Maximizing Efficiency
The laundry room underwent a complete redesign, featuring full-room wallpaper, stacked washer and dryer, and custom cabinetry with a butcherblock countertop. Open shelving adds storage and display options, making the space both functional and aesthetically pleasing
Additional Spaces: Cohesive Design and Organization
The kid’s bathroom received an accent wallpapered wall, new mirror, and showerhead, with organized under-vanity and closet spaces. The living room boasts custom cabinetry along the fireplace wall, new rug, sofa, recliners, and decor that tie the room together. The powder bathroom features an accent wallpapered wall, adding a touch of elegance. Throughout the home, the fusion of design and organization reflects the busy family’s personality and lifestyle
